The impressive durability of stainless steel means that it is ideal for all kinds of construc­tion, providing an extended service life. This reduces the need for replacement and thus reduces the need for stainless steel production.

Bare stainless steel surfaces have a high solar reflective index. This means that, when used in construction appli­cations, the metal helps to reflect and dissipate hear, lowering the need for air conditioning and reducing power consumption.
