SAE 4145H Seamless Steel Pipes

SAE 4145H is a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel grade known for its high strength, excellent toughness, and good hardenability. Its combination of mechanical strength and wear resistance makes it suitable for demanding industrial applications, particularly in the oil and gas industry, heavy machinery, and mechanical engineering. Through appropriate heat treatment, SAE 4145H seamless steel pipes can achieve enhanced mechanical properties to meet specific application requirements.

Chemical Composition: SAE 4145H seamless steel pipes typically contain 0.42–0.49% carbon (C), 0.75–1.00% manganese (Mn), 0.15–0.35% silicon (Si), 0.80–1.10% chromium (Cr), and 0.15–0.25% molybdenum (Mo). Phosphorus (P) and sulfur (S) are generally limited to a maximum of 0.035% each.

Mechanical Properties: In the quenched and tempered condition, SAE 4145H seamless steel pipes typically offer a tensile strength of 850–1,100 MPa, a yield strength of at least 650 MPa, and an elongation of at least 12%. The final mechanical properties depend on the heat treatment process, pipe dimensions, and applicable production standard.
